Surely I’m not the only English major who finds themselves more attracted to music with beautiful words than beautiful tunes/beats/musicians?

Makes all the difference. If I can recite it like poetry and just be astounded and perplexed by its beauty and meaning, then it’d a damn good song. It’s art.
